Our vision

A'KALA means "Children" in the local Kaqchikel, Mayan language.   The focus of the A'KALA Foundation centers on children, the disabled, and others orphaned and ignored by society. 

The key components of our ministry are to offer each child fresh nutritional food, a quality education, health care and dignified housing/shelter.   Each month the children receive a basket of food along with either school supplies, hygiene items, household necessities, clothing, shoes, and always LOVE!   

A'Kala has been working to supply shelter and housing for families in San Lucas.  We have built over 100 homes, bunk beds, and stoves for needy families.
